We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of senior consultant specialist.
Principal responsibilities
This is a governance role for HASE IT who will provide an aligned DevOps practices and tooling to support engineering, testing and deployment as a DevSecOps industry standard.
As automation engineering lead job who should be responsible for the automation of all aspects of the design, development, test, release and operations pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team ensuring a culture of continuous improvement. The job will carry out the following activities:
• Design and develop automation workflows, construct and enhance CI/CD pipeline. Make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assess the overall quality of delivered components
• Drive improvements to the automation work in CI/CD, support team to improve the frequency of release with efficient approach
• Design and implement appropriate environments for applications, engineer suitable release management procedures and provide support
• Support the application implementation on various environment
• Study the automatic provisioning of environments and continuous improving solution
• Participate to the Agile/DevOps design, development, testing, and release of new capabilities and features with focus on release and process automation
• Work closely with other member in Scrum team. Co-ordinate with product. Represent production support in Agile stand-ups, planning sessions and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot problems, involving the appropriate resources and driving resolution of issues with a focus on minimizing impact to development lifecycle. With IT & Business partners to solve it with proper problem management process
• Work within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, deploy, and maintain business applications
• Influence other teams and broader Engineering groups in adopting DevOps best practices.
• Participate to R&D of the new technical, tools and methodologies
• Participate in knowledge management activities
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 year's overall experiences in professional software engineering
• Lead experience of a DevOps team to support organization projects is preferred.
• Experience of Cloud operation experience of Google Cloud, AWS and AliCloud.
• Familiar with operation on various operation system, e.g. Linux, Unix-like, Windows, i/zSeries
• Experience with CI/CD automation/configuration management e.g. Jenkins
• Experience of automation test approach (e.g. BDD/TDD/Canary) which cooperate with the automation pipelines.
• Has good knowledge of Dashboard solution like ELK, Grafana etc.
• A working understanding of code or script (e.g. Java, Python, C++, Groovy, RPG)
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
• Strong understanding on IT software development and different approach/methodology e.g. Agile, DevOps
• Ability to use a wide variety of technologies, e.g. open source
• Be able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
• Be able to work under pressure to complete tasks in a cost effective way
• Good communication skill. Can also communicate effectively in read and written English.
